Went and saw my town's local fireworks show, and it was about as American as you can possibly get - in the modern sense.
>nigger families loudly complaining about how hot it is (it's in the low 80s with a nice breeze)
>extremely drunk white trash yelling at his overweight wife before getting kicked out by the nearest cop
>fireworks show starts 10 minutes late
>fireworks would've been fine if not for the (multiple) Mexican families playing extremely loud mariachi over their shitty bluetooth speakers
>Indian (dot not feather) family leaves early and the parents are completely stonefaced as the children scream at the top of their lungs and run through groups of people
>Mexican's mariachi gets cut out by a shitty soundboard playing the airhorn sound effect to the beat of Miley Cyrus' "Party in the USA"
>the song gets skipped
>ads start playing in Spanish (the Mexicans are using the free version of Pandora)
>last ad is ironically for a burger place
>annoying airhorn soundboard has been getting spammed this entire time
>fireworks still going in the bg, btw
>one of the fireworks is so big that the blast makes a few car alarms go off behind us
>Mexican soundboard spam stops. The mom is yelling in rapid Spanish at one of her 18 kids
>fireworks finale starts, gets loud enough that the nigger kids get scared and the family leaves before it's even done
>everyone claps at the end of the show
>immediately a rush towards cars
>police try to direct traffic (and fail)
>deadlock, nobody is moving
>drunk fucks start honking
>doesn't make the cars move any faster, or at all
This is where I am right now. How's your evening been?

@merchantHelios next year you should find the whitest city around you and just go to that one lmao.

Where I live I've never had this issue xD but tonight I just watched from my porch. Nobody to go watch fireworks with and my roommates are either at work or just being lame asses and playing video games instead.
