Good morning fedi!
@mia @echo @milk
I still have a bit of an upset stomach and some feel like I can put anything on it but the room doesn't start till spin and I don't get super nauseated any time I sit-up, stand, or reposition in bed anymore so that's a big improvement.

I'm debating on whether or not to call into work. At this rate I'll probably be all better or at least 85% of the way there by time for work.

However what usually ends up happening is I think I'm fine, go to work, then after about 30 minutes I realise I greatly overestimated the way I feel and realise I fucked up and end up having to suffer through the day.

Maybe I will call in just in case...

@sjw @mia @milk @echo if it were me, i'd call in because of that exact problem. i always think i'll be able to do it and then i end up literally having to sit down in one spot and do pretty much nothing all day.

@beardalaxy @mia @milk @echo yep that's how it is for me almost every time. Then I don't want to go home because I've already committed to working and that'd put them in a tough spot.

Plus it's not really fair to go home because I knew I was sick since yesterday yet I didn't call in hours in advance giving them a chance to find someone to cover for me instead of having to scramble at the last minute. Kind of a dick move to go in knowing your sick and then ask to go home. So you're just kind of stuck there wanting to lie down and not really getting anything done. Probably also spreading what you have.
@beardalaxy @echo @mia @milk @sevvie alright just called in because it's 9:30 and I'm still not feeling great.

Apparently a few of my coworkers are out with the coof. This seems more like a stomach bug than a respiratory virus but I suppose it's possible.

Also I just noticed that I feel hot and I'm sweating but my temp is only 95.1°F. That's a little disconcerting. I checked my temp 8 times just to be sure and all 8 times it was between 95.1°F and 95.2°F.

I guess we'll just see how things go :shrug:

@beardalaxy @echo @mia @milk @sevvie I don't really feel like :weed: but I'm all out of Zoran and I know THC, like Zofran, is given to chemo patients for nausea in the form of Marinol/dronabinol (synthetic THC) and Cesamet/nabilone (a synthetic cannabinoid similar to THC). So maybe it'll help.

Also fun fact: dronabinol, which is just bioidentical ∆⁹ THC is only a schedule III drug because it's made in a lab with chemical reactions and has medical uses instead of grown and therefore incapable of medical uses.

Same thing in Japan. People can get prescribed dronabinol in Japan and foreigners can travel to Japan with dronabinol without issue. However, I will go to prison if I try to bring my weed (or Adderall) into Japan.

Even more interesting is that CBD oil is also illegal in Japan but Epidiolex (prescription CBD derived from cannabis) is legal in Japan. AFAIK it's the only medication that's made from cannabis that's legal there.

Epidiolex is also FDA approved but the FDA still says that cannabis has no medical use :02_derp:
