@verita84 @Humpleupagus i didn't like the original zelda much because it's way too cryptic. i know there is a retranslation of it that might help i suppose. did the original guidebook come with a map or something?

i haven't played zelda 2 yet, actually. i was put off because it's a side scroller and most people seem to dislike it. i've been slowly having vinesauce push zelda 2 superiority propaganda onto me over the years though lol, i'll play it at some point. i really like castlevania 1 and 3 so perhaps i'd like zelda 2.

Zelda II will be very difficult. But cool. Nice abilities

@LivingSpaceStudios you know, i tried playing it a few years ago, couldn't get into it. i got up to i think the first dungeon in the dark world and just wasn't having a lot of fun. idk why, but i think 2d zelda just isn't my thing. the only one i've really liked playing is four swords adventures.

@beardalaxy @verita84 @Humpleupagus my childhood experience with Zelda:
<5min: cool I can shoot sword rays at people!
5min: uh why are the sword rays gone? Is my sword broken?
>5min: I was deceived. I was brought into this game on false pretenses. This is clearly a case of malicious case of catfishing. WHERE ARE MY SWORD RAYS? "no you have to use strategy to close distance and attack the enemy"? Screw that. I promised sword rays.
