ROUND 1, MATCH 2 PRE-GAME ANALYSIS
Remilia Scarlet (Touhou) VS UMP45 (Girls' Frontline)
The first match of Fedi’s #BestVidyaGirlContest is now underway and shaping up to be a pretty one-sided affair. However, tomorrow’s match should be a lot more competitive, seeing how it involves two top-performing girls from the massive Qualifier poll that were only separated by a single vote. Of course, Remilia Scarlet (together with her buddy Patchouli Knowledge) ended up winning that poll, and is probably stronger than many of the higher-seeded characters. UMP45 on the other hand was a major surprise, and it remains to be seen how well she will hold up in a 1v1 setting.
This match also marks the appearance of our first Loli contestant, and if you know anything about Fedi, you know that Lolis are gonna be a force to be reckoned with in this contest. However, from what I understand UMP45 is something a Loli herself, or at least short and flat, so we’ll have to wait a while before we get an actual Loli VS Hag showdown.
If it wasn't for the Qualifier poll, I’d expect Remilia to easily take this – normally she’s the stronger character, from the stronger series. Indeed, she might very well be capable of threatening Samus herself, and even if she ends up having a really close match with UMP45, I’d be inclined to chalk that up to UMP45 also being really strong rather than Remilia being a fraud – at least until we get to see how the winner of this match fares against the winner of Samus-Yuri.
