OK, so check this out:

Earlier today (more precisely this morning), there were a dad and son at a bakery talking to each other, and they were said to be "joking about lawyers".

Then, a fucking law student that was in the bakery took offense of this and went to confront them. The argued for a bit, then the law student fucking pulls a gun and shoots the son 4 times.

BUT WAIT, THERE'S MORE!

In the altercation, a tempered glass door exploded (the accounts are a bit odd, some say a bullet hit the door, some say the guy who was shot fell back through the door), and a glass shard hit the law student (again, accounts vary: he was hit either in the stomach or in the neck), and the bleeding dude fleed the scene in his car, which was a bullet-proof version of a Ford Fusion.

BUT WAIT, THERE'S MORE!

Again, the accounts of this vary, there are some news places that say the guy just lost a lot of blood, but there are reports saying that the guy was so dumb that he managed to shoot himself in the leg while driving, and he lost control of the vehicle and hit a pickup truck that was coming in the opposite direction. The truck driver went unscathed, and he saw that the driver of the Fusion was looking to be in a pretty bad shape, so he decided to come out and help him.

BUT WAIT, THERE'S MORE!

As I mentioned, the Ford Fusion was an armoured car, and with the hit the driver's car got stuck in a way that was not openable, and the door was not easy to just bend, so the truck driver was basically trying to bust it open with a crowbar to save the dying law student.
Then, a lady who was driving by thought the truck driver was trying to rob the guy in the Fusion, and decided to help.
By running over the truck driver with her car.

End results:
The law student is dead
The son who got shot 4 times is in the hospital, but reports say his condition is fine
The truck driver got a sprained ankle after he was run over

@Suzu is owning a bulletproof car just a thing regular people can do?? i've never heard of anyone having a bulletproof car as just a regular joe shmo! i thought car windows were designed to be smashable for like, safety reasons.

@beardalaxy yes, unless there is some country where it's against the law for some reason (I can wager the UK must have some cuck law against it, for instance), anyone can buy a bulletproof car (or customize one to be bulletproof).
It is extremely expensive, tho.

@Suzu @beardalaxy >Until recently, the armored car industry catered almost exclusively to the wealthy elite in volatile third-world nations.

>But with scenes of American street violence crowding Twitter feeds and news broadcasts, manufacturers have been flooded with orders from concerned everyday citizens.

:kekw: That's because the US is the third world.
@beardalaxy @Suzu

> a thing regular people can do?

generally yeah. but I'm sure some places ban them. can't even own kevlar body armor in some parts of canada :blobfoxsmirk:

> smashable for like, safety reasons

yup. it's definitely a tradeoff and probably not one I would want to take
