oh fuck, one of my brand new uke strings just exploded for some reason. guess it was just a bad string. good thing i went and bought more today! bad news is that they didn't have the type of strings i wanted, so i'm gonna have 1 nylon string and 3 fluorocarbon ones.

i'm taking way too long trying to string this up just so i can play one more day of the season. i might just go all in and if this string busts clearly there's something up with the uke itself and it's time to throw in the towel for the year :P
