from reading this it sounds pretty typical. i know there are loli artists and viewers who use it as a way to cope with their pedophilia and/or being abused as a kid. it can be a good way to break the abuse cycle.

though i would say in such a case like this it probably is good for him to get some sort of counseling, because he seems distraught about it. pedophilia only becomes a problem if it is causing a disturbance of some kind so if he's struggling with his sense of self because of it then that's definitely a cause for concern. it can lead to worse things especially if you bottle it up or let it fester. if nothing else, it can be good to just have someone to talk to that can assure you that you're not a bad person, which i've had to do with friends a few times and seeing their growth after that was awesome.

there's a pretty big chance that more loli artists you like are pedophiles too because it kind of comes with the territory.

if he does engage in actual illegal shit then fuck him, of course, but otherwise i don't really care. i'm someone who prioritizes judgment based on actions and that doesn't change just because someone's attractions are irregular. i'm way less likely to be mad at a pedophile who knows his attractions and avoids acting on them than a self-righteous tranny who grooms kids, or a journalist who has a stash of CP in their closet despite calling anime fans pedophiles.

actually being honest with yourself is the first step of becoming a better version of yourself. like a fat guy going to the gym. i'll never condemn anyone for doing that.
