It’s all AI arms race, within a few weeks they’ll be countermeasures. Nightshade detection and even algorithms to reverse it.

It’s pointless trying to fight against AI, it’s already public, you need to adapt.

I’ve been saying it for weeks, for your art to be worth something you HAVE to start making physical copies now.

@Kirino @lain I wonder how many artists have actually seen a notable decline in commissions, or if they're just coping because they never had commissions to begin with. From what I can tell, from an outside perspective, it looks like most artists have about the same amount of support as always.

A good idea for artists trying to become popular and get more commissions is to jump on trends as fast as possible.

There’s another aspect. People need to want to pay for your art. I draw, some people have probably seen the ones I’ve posted, but they’re not NEARLY good enough to actually sell.

A lot of commissions that I’ve personally seen look more akin to doodles. That’s not to say I haven’t seen a LOT which are fantastic art but my point still stands. Make good art, make a physical copy of that good art.

@Kirino @beardalaxy i would guess that a certain class of commissions ("can you make me a chibi model of this picture") is nearly eliminated by AI generation, especially when you just need a generic anime artsyle. Same for some kinds of stock photos. But yeah, there are enough artists that are unique and good enough that AI probably doesn't impact them very much.

@lain @Kirino I honestly find it way easier and faster to just use booru tags than try to fight with an AI to get something that doesn't look like an eldritch abomination lol

Weird, I would have thought you’d love an Eldritch abomination to insert yo ugly ass into, NIGGAAAAAAA
