No Man's Sky
No Man's Sky should be renamed to Nothing to Do because while the game is vastly an improvement of its release version there is actually very little to do in terms of game play.
Due to the presence of buildings that can auto gather resources there is very little need to go out and mine stuff and the agricultural system in place always a player to set up a combination of plants that shit out money with little effort.
On the topic of money the in-game currency (Units) does very little. Most of the good stuff is locked behind Nanites which are pretty easy to come by. Though if you are really keen you can turn units into nanites which begs the question of why bother having 2 types of currency.
Combat is alright very basic considering that the game's main focus is exploration but I would've liked to seen much options in terms of things to fight. What is the point of having a really good weapon or an awesome ship when the enemies are incredibly weak and lacking in any form of diversity.
Also despite receiving 108239210731 different patches there are some still very big game breaking bugs that have never been addressed. Game also heavily relies on RNG to draw out what little gameplay there is and lets not forget the time-gated quest line for no reason. (You have to grind out daily missions to be even able to start the quest, then each stages slaps a 24 timer on it until it will give you the next part)
All in all a very average game that was good to help kill some time. Would not recommend it.

@Awoo I actually liked the game more when it first released. My expectations were met exactly. Just fly around to planets and look at stuff. Would have been nice if there was more variety back then, but it was a good game to just relax to.
Now it's just a little too complicated for my liking. Lots of stuff you have to manage and way more things you can build/do that just sort of clutter things up a bit. I kind of feel that way with Minecraft too... whenever I play it I never touch anything that was made past like 2016 and I spend the entire time hollowing out cobblestone areas and building a massive fortress. Likewise, in NMS when I've gone back to play it, I just focus on flying from planet to planet and looking at stuff.
I appreciate Hello Games' dedication to the game, though. They've done a hell of a lot of work on it. I hope that whatever their next game is like they knock it out of the park.
See I would've enjoyed the exploration aspect more if there was more to see. While I give them prompts for having massive galaxies that still haven't been fully explored the quality of each was rather meh. Unique worlds are few and far inbetween and didn't offer much of a wow factor to be worth the time investment.
The first time I saw a giant worm was cool but then I realised it was literally an environment piece and couldn't be interacted with.
@Awoo I'm a bit of a space romanticist, i mean it's part of my namesake after all xD so i did like just kind of going from planet to planet and chilling. i'd probably be down to just float around in space for the rest of my life if it was possible but, alas, i was born too early and with too many conditions that mean i won't be colonizing anywhere. i'd probably not even make it out of the atmosphere xD
