@skylar @theorytoe @sapphire I've never had a problem with WD hdds (other than natural slowing down over time) and I've used their drives exclusively. Am I just lucky?

though i think i fed that poweredge HPE drives cause that's what i had spares of

of the drive manufacturers with significant sample size since i started keeping track some time last year, WD is by far the worst
it doesn't seem to matter what kind of drive either, a good percentage of WD's failures are enterprise SAS drives from SANs
