I am coming to a stark realization that my love for shoegaze and "fuzz" in music may have something to do with being exposed to Depeche Mode in my formative years

@shedinja when I was a wee lad starting to get into finding my own music that I liked, there was a sense of rebellion not only to shit you'd hear on the radio, but also against what my parents liked
But even back then I did really like Depeche Mode and as I grew into my metalhead phase I still could appreciate their sound
and you'd be silly to deny that some of their songs has that sort of "dreamy" sound that I personally really like
