Open AI (the creators of ChatGPT) has announced their new text to video generation tool named Sora. It's some of the most advanced and detailed video generation out there at this point. All I can say is that the potential of these we aren't fucking ready for.

So much for an entire industry of CGI artists.

Do you think they had this technology in one form or another for the last several decades?

@tyler Image generation has been around for awhile, but I have no idea if it was as good as Stable Diffusion was when it was first made public. As far as the video generation, It's safe to assume with how good this shit is now they've been working on it for awhile. I don't know about decades to get to this point, but at least incrementally for decades leading up to something like this.

@tyler Like the stuff before was pretty easy to tell it was AI because it was pretty blurry and the movement wasn't as fluid as this, but holy shit they've made some crazy progress in a matter of months.

My thoughts immediately are reminded of a couple years ago when I thought they'd be able to make realistic video that would be able to manufacture evidence, and basically be the tool of the new Bolsheviks as "justification" of guilt to attempt to destroy us.

Yes the current American system is falling, but what will replace it? We don't have any systemic power, we have no knowledge on how to govern or run a city, to clean up the mess of infrastructure. We are here and there, but we have been pruned of our ability to stand up any sort of resistance, whereas although we may laugh at the faggot antifa, they certainly are capable of organizing.
