Heard the news that Akira Toriyama passed away so I decided to install Chrono Trigger on Steam and play it a bit in his honor. I got to 2300 AD and feel that's a good stopping point for the night. The Steam port doesn't feel as good as the SNES version. Decided to go for the french translation since they butchered the english translation anyways with the newer releases. The original SNES translation was way better. Especially for Frog.
@ooignignoktoo even the original translation isn't that great, but more because of how localization wasn't nearly as good back then. there is actually a romhack that retranslates it that i quite enjoyed! but it probably doesn't hit the same way for those that played the game back when it came out.
@beardalaxy It could just be bias too. Also the Steam port kinda looks like ass compared to the SNES version. The game is playable atleast but it feels like a half assed port.
