@ChristiJunior @LittleTom WHAT HAPPENED HERE???!?!?!
i still do not understand anyone who thinks the new model actually looks better. let's not even talk about HER live action actress.
@SIC_Guy @ChristiJunior @LittleTom amy hennig didn't write last of us, it was neil druckmann and bruce straley. i believe bruce left naughty dog due to creative differences while last of us 2 was being written and, surprise surprise, the parts he wrote for last of us 2 are the best parts (which was more or less the "epilogue" to the last of us). apparently he wasn't credited for writing in the tv show at all, which made him pretty upset.
amy hennig was the writer for uncharted, had a full script for uncharted 4 that got canned when she left (perhaps even got forced out by neil/bruce) and then neil/bruce rewrote the entire thing.
bruce now has a new studio that he wants to be "inclusive and equitable" lmao.
naughty dog just fucking sucks and i truly believe that the original last of us game was lightning in a bottle.
@SIC_Guy @ChristiJunior @LittleTom more like 3/5 right since it is probable that amy hennig was pushed out of the company. why tf would you write an entire game and then just leave?
uncharted 4 was kinda ass too imo. not like, in a bad game way, but it is definitely the weakest in the series and you can TELL it was written by the same people who wrote last of us. the tone is wildly different from the other games. there is a lot of ludonarrative dissonance in there (which is a term i didn't even know before the game came out lmao) and it really makes nathan out to be a legitimately bad person instead of just a whimsical treasure hunter if you're looking at the subtext.
not to mention, nathan was originally supposed to have a son in the original epilogue, but some random playtester asked "why can't he have a daughter?" so neil fucking changed it. what great story integrity you have there champ.
I'm so glad my most "modern" PSN exclusive is Dragon's Crown Pro.
