Kind of crazy to think that back in the day, Rareware was putting out banger after banger like every year... and now it takes a full 300+ staff game company 6-8 years to shit out something underwhelming.

i know that game dev is "harder" these days, but it's also easier than it's ever been as indicative of how many absolutely banger indie and AA games come out all the time.

like... apparently only 11 people worked on goldeneye 007 and only 2 of them had actually made a game before. sounds a lot like palworld actually.

@beardalaxy it's almost like 90% of the difficulty is navigating kiked bullshit and scooping cash off the top...

@SpurgAnon like 1/3 of alan wake 2's budget was marketing also lol.

i think games are bloated, which leads to dev teams being bloated, which then compounds further on itself with tons of completely unnecessary positions. and the companies feel the need to add "woke" stuff into their games because they need the money they get doing that to fund their bloated, shitty games. which makes them more shitty.

the fact that lethal company outsold modern warfare 3 bodes well though i think. i can smell the AAA... err i mean sorry ubisoft.... AAAA games industry starting to show its cracks.
