@Tadano @witzsteinberg because the only people who owned slaves were incredibly wealthy men who didn't do any physical labor themselves. Contrary to popular belief, not everyone owned slaves, which makes the whole "white guilt" thing even more stupid (plus the fact that most everyone I know had family that came here after it was abolished anyway).
