The best years of WoW were 2004-2014 (Vanilla to the end of Mists of Pandaria, the last expansion they ever did with any creativity).
10 years.
The game is 20 years old this November.
I gave up on retail WoW years ago. Everything I hear about how it's going now is it's gayer and shittier (BUT THE RAIDS, DOE!!). Worse yet, they took the idea for a single expansion and split them up into THREE expansions to milk the ideas all the way til 2028.
Put it out of its misery.

@lichelordgodfrey I've never played wow a day in my life, barely even watched footage of it, but I remember quite well a number of people starting to get uneasy about the game's future around the time that pandaria came out. It's the only expansion I know by name because of that.
@beardalaxy They didn't know how good they had it.
Every ounce of neat stuff they could come up with was wringed out of Blizzard for that expansion.
