@Rasterman @beardalaxy @Kerosene they really like horses over there, and wanted a big statue of a horse. But they like horses because they ride horses and not because they're MLP weirdos, so they needed a guy to ride the horse. And if there's a guy to ride their really big horse, it has to be a well-known guy or it's just silly. Like imagine you show off your giant horse to a foreigner and when asked who the guy riding the horse is, you say "yeah that's Dave. He won the lottery to ride it." That would be dumb. So they picked a pretty well-known guy. That's all. They don't like him or anything. They like the horse and everything else sort of fell into place.
