beforehand, "gaming monitor" just meant "high end monitor" but now they're all switching to OLED so you actually can't use them for work :niggabroken:

@PurpCat I think its just burn in. There doesn't seem to be much way to avoid it.

tl;dr the burn in on the switch oled is basically nonexistent.

i think it was mainly the earlier OLED screens that had burn in issues, particularly the large ones. these days though you should be totally fine, especially if you make sure you taskbar is hidden by default. i wonder if there have been any advancements there too... like maybe a program that overlays your taskbar and plays an animation on top of it every now and then or something like that.
