@themilkman Sonic just does something to a man. Or he really did get a visit from Angels.

@teto @themilkman of course God loves Sonic, he wouldn't be able to remotely compete with Mario otherwise

@beardalaxy @themilkman ah yes mario, the franchise releasing a mainline game every decade at the most now
@beardalaxy @themilkman sonic frontiers took like 6-7 years to make so I see the irony of my statement there

@teto @themilkman I still want to play frontiers eventually but I can't get over the fact that they just made the most generic land mass possible and chucked in weird puzzles and rails everywhere lmao.

@beardalaxy @themilkman the free dlc content they added is some top tier slop tho. They used the (unintended) glitchy physics to their advantage and actually implemented it into the level design of the towers. You can do really cool stuff with the spindash, reminded me of SA1

@teto @themilkman oh that's pretty cool actually. It does look fun, and it's on a pretty steep sale right now, I just got tons of other games to play first.

@beardalaxy @themilkman I like sonic more cuz cooler but also because it's just more replayable to me than mario. I replay stages often to get a better time. Dont really have that with mario

@teto @themilkman with Mario, I find it easier to go back to the game to do full runs of. Sometimes I'll just think "I kind of want to play Mario 64" and just beat the entire game in a few hours lol. I go back and play sm3 pretty often too. Compared to sonic, I think the only games I've played through more than once are adventure and adventure 2, and I've only played those 2 or 3 times.

@teto @beardalaxy i swear i always end with a yearly replay of sonic 3 and mania
@themilkman @beardalaxy that plus generations for me. And adventure 1 & 2 sonic/shadow stages
@teto @beardalaxy GENERATIONS WAS S FUN FUCK.
I bought it last year on steam and it brought up so many memories.

My 360 disc was scratched back in 2014 i was proper fucking distraught, i even resorted to the banana trick like the GULLIBLE retard i was
@themilkman @beardalaxy I actually own a physical version of generations for pc... back when that was still a thing
@teto @beardalaxy you rub a banana on the back of the cd.

it was like a big troll at the time that was spread around in order to crush the dreams of poor children (like me).

@themilkman @teto I remember the one that was actually somewhat legit was to use the kind of toothpaste that has the grit to it on the surface and gently brush to resurface the disc. Never tried that on a disc but I did actually used that trick on a monitor to help hide a pretty sizeable scratch and you can only notice if the screen is a solid color and you're looking really hard now.

@beardalaxy @themilkman you can remove a layer of a cd to make the lighter scratches disappear. Game stop used to offer that for a fee.

@teto @themilkman a lot of libraries and used game stores will do it for you too. Resurfacing machines.
I learned a few years ago that the top of the disc is actually more important than the bottom, because if there is a scratch on the top the light from the laser will just shoot straight through the disc. There's no data there, but it needs to be solid. Just thought that was interesting.

@teto @beardalaxy remember it like yesterday, i was playing rooftop run act one when the shelf my 360 was on top of fucing collapsed, and it fell down and scratched the disk
