@teratology@the.asbestos.cafe i support hrt for children if they go through a lengthy psychiatric screening process first
@teratology @anemone I'm against a lot of pharmaceutical stuff in general, especially ones that affect the mind. Let alone giving it to children. I think the main issue comes from drugs and even something like socially transitioning or whatever always being the first thing that is jumped to. It should be, okay, how did we get here? What can we take from that history to help change some things in this person's life to make it better? It feels like a cop out and, from the top at least, it stems from money, not somebody's well being.
My best friend was a pharmacist. Went to years of grueling schooling for it. Then he found out how it all worked behind the scenes and couldn't morally continue.
@beardalaxy @teratology @anemone the problem is our moral compass is out of whack. we have recently installed "identity" as a cardinal virtue, even ABOVE protecting the rights and well being of the individual. "identity" trumps everything. we have an easy, cheap and effective punishment (the "transphobe" label) to stamp on people who don't like it, while apparently "child mutilator" screamed from rooftops isn't enough of a disparagement to have any impact on them.
@teratology @anemone me too bro, me too
@beardalaxy@gameliberty.club @teratology@the.asbestos.cafe it should be a last resort rather than the first option but like with other conditions some people actually do need medical help
