Maria didn't get shot, 0/10. The soldier shot an explosive tank instead, which then blew up and killed her. He was ambiguously aiming towards her and Shadow though before getting his gun jostled.

Also the colony wasn't in space, it was on Earth. So the way everything goes down is pretty different.

Those are like autistic nitpicks though. The rest of the movie was really good! Better than the second one because it focused almost exclusively on the CG characters and the Robotniks. No weird side character marriage tangents.

I don't think Keanu Reeves fits Shadow very well, to be honest. They could have gotten someone way better for him. It's not bad by any means, but I couldn't help but think it didn't fit.

There were a lot of laughs to be had and, because I'm an emotional retard, a lot of tearjerkers too. Some great references as well!

Also, there was an after credits scene! Extra spoiler warning here!! Sonic is ambushed by a shit ton of Metal Sonics, and then Amy comes to save him. She looks awesome! I'm hoping there really is a Sonic 4 because it would be sick. I hope we can get a bunch more characters in there over time.

Overall, I'd give it a solid 8/10, with the added note that if you didn't like the other two movies, the first one especially, this is more of the same. Just a lot less dumb human stuff. I think you'll probably know if it's something you'll like before you go watching it, though. It was good!
