Chat GPT is extremely useful for D&D when you need something on the fly. Today my players asked if it was possible to craft an Oil of Etherealness potion and of course I don't have that info on hand, and I wasn't about to sift through Reddit to see if someone had put up some table that I then had to also sift through. So, I just asked Chat GPT and it gave me a list of like 10 different ingredients so I just chose 4 that sounded cool that seemed interesting to try getting. The whole affair only took a minute or two and now my players have something cool to go and do that they thought of. It ties into the current quest quite nicely also.

It's a really useful tool, but here's the thing... It is only useful in the right hands. If I just copied and pasted the output of that then there would have been ingredients that sounded super similar or were just way too much of a PITA to get.
