I just blocked YouTube chat entirely because it pops open whenever you full screen a vod and that's hella annoying. It also has some sort of memory leak which leads to tabs crashing and that's been an issue for at least a year now. I think it's proof that the people working on YouTube features don't actually use those features.
@beardalaxy For me, youtube gets laggier and laggier as my day goes on, and it's the only website that does it
@GapYoukai @beardalaxy the ui used to load before the video would, now the video starts before any of the ui does, slows the ui loading, it takes at least 2 seconds regardless of conditions

@gav @GapYoukai @beardalaxy I only use freetube since they killed invidious, and most YouTube problems are solved. Bookmarks are a bitch, but at least the interface is now actually made for PC
@GapYoukai I haven't experienced that personally, but it's probably in the way that I use it. I don't usually have big queues or anything, most often I open videos in new tabs.
