a major thing that prevents me from playing mmos is the extreme amount of buttons you have to press, coupled with the ui clutter. this is why i liked runescape so much when i was younger and why i like pso/pso2 a lot as well. they are so much more simple and elegant.

every single time a new mmo comes out it'll pique my interest, but then i look at the gameplay and it's all just a shit ton of who knows what on the screen and that is an instant turn off for me.

This was PSO2 to me when I first played it. Everyone is biased to their favorite MMO thinking its the only good one just like with gachaniggers
@beardalaxy >not even comparing them with the "good" PSO2
Lol. In any case they're all following a similar layout with tab target combat the only thing thats different in new gaynesis here is the hotbar

@Ace66062 pso2 and ngs have the exact same UI i didn't think it mattered

@beardalaxy I only played a bit (read: got past the tutorial) of NGS before figuring out how to actually boot to PSO2 so I don't remember if they were exactly the same. In any case tab target MMOs share similar HUD elements yet they're all equally confusing at first, PSO is not an exception to this. (FF14's HUD is entirely customizable mind you and the default layout admittedly sucks dick)
