You ever just torture yourself trying to finish a video game you're tired of like "no I MUST suffer or I'm not a real man"

@RustyCrab I did that with silent hill 2 remake most recently. That game is such a drag. I only played it so that I could know it sucked instead of taking someone else's word for it so it was kind of a hate fuck of an experience.

This was years ago, but Axiom Verge 2 was one I genuinely was excited for and really had to force myself to finish because it was just reaaally nowhere near as good as the first one. I kept thinking it would get better later on but it never did.

Most of the time though I will just stop playing a game if I don't feel compelled to play it anymore. I can usually tell these days before I even start playing if I'm going to enjoy a game or not. I'll still give them a shot sometimes and I'll go in with an open mind, but at this point I kind of know what I'll end up disliking.

@beardalaxy honestly that's not a bad thing to do as a social aid. Bad games and movies make for good stories. If you only play the most pristine ones, at best you look normie and at worse you look like a snob that's somehow still normie
