back in the day, games were expensive to the point where you parents would get you one game for your birthday and one game for Christmas. maybe your one rich uncle would have a lot of games at his house so you'd go over there to play them.

i am pretty sure we are going back to those days.

@beardalaxy@gameliberty.club so growing up, my parents would get us things that had already been out for a few years, so like we got a SNES just a couple years before the N64 came out. I still kind of do this today as an adult, I generally don't get games / consoles until they have been out for a while, so you get them at lower prices, fewer bugs, and can even get things on super sales. About once or twice a year, I'll drop full price on something I'm really hyped about (Monster Hunter Wilds for instance), but then also get Persona 3 Reload on a half-price sale.
