@inTrax it goes to show how great mk8 looked in the first place. Nintendo really knows how to make their games look pretty. I'm really glad they aren't using dlss or RT. Metroid prime 4 also looked gorgeous, and that one is running at 4k60 somehow, which they did talk about on the direct.
@KaiserKitty @inTrax with Mario Kart and Metroid Prime Digital Foundry pixel counted and confirmed there wasn't any DLSS. i generally trust those guys when it comes to that kind of technical stuff.
NVIDIA said that games are able to use DLSS, the technology supports it, but i don't think they said that all of the games are using it.
i've heard donkey kong is running at 1080p and has frame drops. i honestly don't like the look of the game that much.
@inTrax @KaiserKitty developers should ideally target the switch 2 hardware to the best of their ability and then apply DLSS afterwards if they wish to. i definitely think it should be something you can toggle too.
As much as I dislike it being used as a crutch to show improved performance in every new graphics card, I'm interested to see how DLSS could be employed on limited hardware such as the Switch 2 to optimize other aspects of the performance.
