I'll admit that the trailer for Tron: Ares motivated me to listen to Nine Inch Nails since I've never heard their music. I can't say for sure if everybody at Disney stopped caring about Tron. Now that Daft Punk is gone, Disney needs Trent Reznor & Atticus Ross again (before they made music for the Pixar movie, Soul) to make them a fortune once again. It will be a fun journey for me to listen to not just NIN's stuff, but also some of their notable movie OSTs. The worst case scenario is that NIN made another album that could hold up on its own (unless they've sold their souls or something earlier). As for the movie itself, who knows? I am not giving Disney my money, but someone else will on my behalf since it'll be released on my birthday.

@berkberkman He's done some good soundtrack work. Reznor doing the music for this movie is the only reason I'm remotely interested in it, everything else about it just looks mediocre.

The original is a timeless classic, I barely remember the second movie.

@grey The most that I remember from the second film (Tron: Legacy) were several things:
1. Daft Punk, and their soundtrack (I admit that I was a fan of them before the film's release though).
2. The (literally) darker designs within The Grid.
3. CGI de-aged Jeff Bridges.
4. Olivia Wilde.
Not much else that I remember, including the main character. It was and still is certainly a popcorn movie though, especially now. I jokingly believe it's an isekai before that became popular.

@mangeurdenuage @grey @berkberkman tron legacy is actually my favorite movie ever lol.

ares looks okay, i'm a little hesitant of the fact that it seems most of it will take place in the real world instead of the grid. the FX work looks really good though. just hoping it isn't completely bungled in the story department. i have complete faith in NIN to deliver an amazing soundtrack.
