I bought a ticket for the Miku movie on this coming Sunday evening. Initially I thought I'd wait to see if I could see it on Monday morning, which is my preferred time to watch movies (fewer people in the theatre means fewer chances of them talking through the whole movie, or messing with their phones the whole time, or kicking my seat, or bored kids walking back and forth in front of me, yelling or kicking my seat, etc.) but then I noticed that for us, it's a four day affair. Ah well. I often lament the lack of selection at movie theatres so I need to put my money where my mouth is if some alternative content is available. Plus I really do want them to show more anime movies than just Ghibli ones. Before anyone gets angry, yes, Ghibli is fine. That said, there are more directors than just Miyazaki Hayao and if they were to show more anime films from creators such as Shinbou Akiyuki, Anno Hideaki, Kon Satoshi, and Aoki Ei I'd be a happy camper.
