this is the kind of retarded shit i love reading on orange reddit while taking a shit
erm watching free videos in a different client? stop pirating dude
what's funnier is that there's no way for a 3rd party client to SHOW ads, it's impossible, so it's not even blocking ads in the first place, it just can't support them
@zero i wonder why YouTube doesn't do something on the fly that bakes ads into the videos
@mischievoustomato probably cause they want to be able to give different ads to different regions/users, but twitch does bake the "ad break" into the stream so you get cucked from watching the full stream even with 3rd party shit

@zero @mischievoustomato i am just using the experimental brave twitch ad blocker and it works pretty well, at least for the ads that show up right when you go into a stream. it does have some issues with buffering during automatic ads that occur in the middle of the stream, but i don't watch any channels that run ads like that other than the zfg 24/7 channel. but i'm only watching that one when i'm going to bed so i don't really care.

@beardalaxy @mischievoustomato im talking about when you watch it externally with like streamlink piping to mpv, you see an "ad break" but not the actual ad
