it just dawned on me how much my parents had to spend to take my whole family to the movies. like $60+ for one movie. that's wild man. no wonder gaming became as big as it is. you buy a single game and get to play it for orders of magnitude longer than a movie's runtime.
@beardalaxy Other than that, it's also because you take games at your own pace among other things and aren't limited to like, the 2 hours it played live for in a theater (Of course, streaming services exist now and mostly remove that issue)
