@beardalaxy it's mildly amusing to watch people realize trump is actually bad and the press just picked all the wrong reasons

@icedquinn i would much rather have someone like vance in office who exemplifies everything i like about trump, nothing i dislike about him, and is far more relatable.

i didn't vote for trump in 2024 but you know, you always hope that whoever wins does some good stuff for the country.

@beardalaxy yeah I didn't vote at all. The energy was too sombre and depressing this time around. It was all pure pandering and theatrics and none of the organic optimism was there.

First thing he does is give Israel bombs and it's like I chose correctly :blobcatgrimacing:
@icedquinn @beardalaxy
Only if you're retarded enough to believe Kamala Harris wouldn't have given Israel bombs.

@Hephaestic @icedquinn she absolutely would have too lol
It would have been funny to try and see the libshits try to spin that into being a good thing though after all the free Palestine stuff they've done

uspol

@beardalaxy @Hephaestic probably one of biden's rare W's

i couldn't vote for either one in good confidence though. i am effectively unrepresented in government :blobcatupsidedown:

re: uspol

@icedquinn @beardalaxy @Hephaestic have any Americans ever in modern times since 90s been represented by their government though, even if they voted for the person?

re: uspol

@BasedLunatic @beardalaxy @Hephaestic arguably no. i have that academic paper that says the correlation between the publi and congress is basically R=0. i just don't recall its name

re: uspol

@BasedLunatic @Hephaestic @beardalaxy i tend to list more like.. libertarian / cybernetics. which are both extremely obscure and niche things.

also unpopular opinions like we need to cut or suspend all but the most vital foreign relations and go in to bunker mode for a while. it's not so much a permanent thing as we need to perform some deep and painful refactors (like yeeting this absurd shareholder primacy concept)

there are arguments that retraction would weaken the empire. it might, but a smaller empire with renewed strength is better than losing the whole thing because every layer is decalcified and rotted :blobcatwaitwhat:

but this is like

an extremely minority opinion

re: uspol

@icedquinn @beardalaxy @Hephaestic This is the century of China, unless it’s destruction is achieved. It belongs to the Chinese. It doesn’t matter how much libertarians and rightoids or liberals seethe over it, saying China is nothing or “lol” China owns the future, together with Russia they will have great success

re: uspol

@BasedLunatic @beardalaxy @Hephaestic i don't really care about china or russia. people have been trying to play up china for 10-20 years and their government is insignificant. if it were not for clintons opening the door for them to steal our shit at unprecedented rates they would be completely unaccomplished.

the problem imo is pretty well explained by Deming (maybe others.) we stopped caring about quality, and innovation, and it just became some harvard retard squad tossing "IP" around and spending more time rebundling corpses than anything.

in the case of Intel it is not failing because of BRICS. Intel is failing because a hedge fund of know-nothings has free money from random retirement account programs to throw around at stock speculation and they've acquired large volume of ownership in companies they don't begin to understand how to operate, do not care, and appoint board members who also do not know anything, who appoint CEOs that just milk the place until the rot causes it to collapse.

they literally fired the CEO that stated his intention was to restart chips, and not maximize quarterly dividends. they hired him knowing full well this was the goal and then fired him because he was doing exactly that.

regardless of whatever else the world is doing, things like shareholder primacy need to die.

re: uspol

@BasedLunatic @Hephaestic @beardalaxy i play around with budget electronics off and on. i see a lot of stupid shit like 300$ JBL headphones and speakers being "western brands" and not supporting anything newer than 2012 bluetooth standards, while anker offers LDAC at a third the cost and 80% of the quality.

they are not doing anything special or magic that we cannot do. its just that nobody here cares and its a big circlejerk of capital and money magic games.

re: uspol

@icedquinn @beardalaxy @Hephaestic don't matter if people are unable to accept it, the American leadership, especially military and CIA is aware this century belong to China. Together with Russia they will make a strong force. Normal people aren't as good indicator compared to who the deep state military leadership is desperate to destroy

re: uspol

@BasedLunatic @beardalaxy @Hephaestic that is not how reality works. the fates do not simply declare "its X country's time to be hegemon now."

it's all systems and processes. we are falling apart because our systems are retarded.

re: uspol

@icedquinn @beardalaxy @Hephaestic just saying priority of US is destroying China. Above everything. So if normal people feel China doesn’t surpass US, it’s really doesn’t matter, if the CIA thinks it, you don’t even need to ask people. US policy makers and internal foreign policy papers is available showing US leadership believes China is very short time from becoming hegemonic power. I believe they already passed US in many different places, just not military, but their military is a priority for them, they are close. Besides in war games of pentagon, fighting China so far away from mainland US, on Chinese territory, US have lost every single war game
@Hephaestic
I genuinely believe if Kammy won we'd already be looking at how much nuclear fallout is affecting climate change.
