@beardalaxy It conflates completely different meanings of words. It was never a purchase of a game and it was never theft, those two words are a consumers simplified view. You buy into a contract to use their IP, if you use it without their agreement, that is infringement

If you believe in IP laws then the rightsholder can of course sell you under any terms he wants. Do not like it? Do not buy into the contract, then go play something else
