@rlier23@detroitriotcity.com no, you've never done enough
@EdBoatConnoisseur@poa.st @rlier23@detroitriotcity.com no, cause I'm neurotic and never feel like I'm doing enough stuff
@EdBoatConnoisseur@poa.st @rlier23@detroitriotcity.com as a fedi user, the tism is guaranteed, between the type of career that can endlessly consume time, and several similar hobbies, I just never have enough time to do everything. I'm always either reading up on things or actively working on them.
@EdBoatConnoisseur @rlier23 @dotnet I've been thinking about going to school or getting certs or something just so I can say I'm doing something with my life but man, knowing how hard the job market is (and only getting worse) plus my inability to travel far from home is keeping me from doing it.
@sapphire @rlier23 @beardalaxy @dotnet not when like 6 of those 9 miles are all "mountain" and "industrial" highway that was built without a sidewalk since no one, would ever even think of walking them...
@sapphire @rlier23 @beardalaxy @dotnet unemployment benefits do not exist where i live.
@beardalaxy @rlier23 @dotnet i recently rejected a job offer for an "IT support engineer" because it would put me on 4 hour commute from work to home for just about 9 miles... and almost a third of my monthly salary would have been burnt on gasoline only...
