Nominations for Season 3 of the #BestVidyaGirlContest are now closed, and 3 girls have directly qualified for the tournament as high seeds:
A real surprise winner of the Nomination Thread this time, in the form of Krystal from Star Fox, the contest’s first-ever true Furry rep. She was also nominated back during Season 1, but failed to make it through the Qualifier Poll, being a couple of votes away from the promised land. This time she was way more successful! The foxy lady will be the tournament’s #7 Seed, after getting 8 points in during the nominations, in the form of two maxed out picks.
Following Krystal are 2 girls boasting 6 points each. Our 8th Seed will be Rachel Alucard from Blazblue, another newcomer. Interestingly, last year’s #8 Seed was Remilia Scarlet, another vampire Loli, so despite Remilia failing to qualify for this year’s tournament the cute and funny bloodsuckers still get their rep. BTW, Rachel got her higher position because she reached her 6 points before the other girl did.
And speaking of that girl – it’s the SmugLoli icon Neptune, from Hyperdimension Neptunia! She is NOT a tournament newcomer, but her 2024 tournament run was short-lived, due to her running into Elite girl Fio Germi in round 1. As the #9 Seed, maybe Neptune will enjoy more success this time around.
No other girl got more than 5 points, and I didn’t want more than 3 girls to qualify directly through the Nominations Thread anyway. I’ll now be looking at which girls will get to enter the Qualifier Poll, but currently I’m thinking only those with 2 points or more will be allowed to participate (unless I deem them worthy of a Wild Card slot).
I’ll be putting up another post about the Qualifier Poll roster before too long, as well as how many points each girl will be going into said poll with. The actual poll will go Live tomorrow, a little under 24 hours from now.
