I think Nintendo is lying when they said the Virtual Boy accessories are required to play the games.
Cuz I they dont have any mechanisms in em to tell if youre using em. They're just chunks of cardboard, and plastic.
And the console it'self doesn't have any NFC in the screen, so there's just no way for the consoles to detect you're even using the accessories.

@SpoopTheSpoopster i'm not familiar with how virtual boy's display works, but if the lenses are doing any sort of work at all then the games won't look right just playing on a normal flat panel.
@beardalaxy It just displays 2 slightly different images on 1 screen side-to-side.
