Brodie Robertson and everybody else in the linux world keeps yelling at people for wanting steamOS on PC when they should "just install bazzite".

It is impossible to explain to a linuxfag that their failed community ecosystem is in large part due to their compete inability to name things.
"SteamOS" -- it's an OS for steam
"ChromeOS" -- it's an OS for chrome
"Microsoft Office" -- "I guess that's tools you'd use in an office"
"Mapquest" -- guess I look at maps
"Door dash" -- "they dash things to your door
"Minecraft" -- you mine things and you craft things

"bazzite" -- what the fuck does that mean
"gnome" -- what the fuck does that mean
"mutter" -- is that like a mumble alternative?
"Wayland" -- like from Aliens?
"minetest" -- sounds like Minecra-- oh wait you changed it to "Luanti" WHAT THE FUCK DOES THAT MEAN
Funny but "Mac" and "windows" out of context also is a lot less literal than "wordOS"

@teto @RustyCrab Mac is just a colloquialism. All iterations of its actual name have OS in them. Mac OS, MacOS, OS X, etc.

Windows was originally just a GUI for MS-DOS, which itself is an acronym for Microsoft Disk Operating System. Windows gave MS-DOS... windows.

Windows the operating system is so large these days that it doesn't need to have anything with OS in its actual name. It has transcended that rule.

the best one for me is the gamecube. it's a cube that plays games lmao.
