It might be cope, but I think I've come to realize that I like developing games for the same reason someone would like writing books. I don't really care if I make money doing it or if a bunch of people play it really, I just like putting my ideas into a corporeal form that exists as a hobby I like to partake in. If I really wanted to make something that would make me money and have a lot of people play, I would be making stuff I don't really want to make...

The games the market is in high demand for right now are just not really the kind of games I want to make and I just have to accept that's the case and keep making what I wanna make anyway.
