The more I think about the Halo : Combat Evolved remake is "who's the fucking audience" for this game? The only audience I can think of is Sony fanboys who never played an xbox period out of brand loyalty but the game was on PC and old enough a literal potato from the XP days can run it.

Halo Combat Evolved original is already on Xbox Series and PC you can get it for literal fucking pennies during a sale. The PC and Xbox version via. MCC already has an online component out of the box.

The UE5 version has sprinting out of the box and changes so many things fundamental to the original game. It feels like Microsoft just hired a bunch of freshmen interns for UE5 and had them remake Halo and resell it. They pulled the same BS with the Gears of War 1 remaster remaster that was critically panned by gamers.
