i've always believed that gender dysphoria is a mental health issue, so it should be solved with non-invasive mental health treatments. learning to love yourself as you are and strive to be a better version of that person, rather than trying to force change, is a good lesson for every single person to learn.
if it isn't gender dysphoria then it is a fetish and we shouldn't let children be exposed to fetishes or alter polite and fair society to accommodate for fetishes.
i wish people would see it as a problem to be solved rather than an identity to be celebrated. doing that causes damage to everyone.
this is literally the thing that began my shift away from progressives in high school and got me questioning things i wasn't supposed to question.
@magicalthinking there is a line between disorder and disability that decides whether someone should be receiving welfare or not. i would assume that far more often than not, gender dysphoria would not prevent someone from working.
