@rosey i mean, if a theoretical robot like that were an arm of the law then it wouldn't really be any different from other types of public surveillance. or private surveillance, for that matter. mcdonald's is already surveilling everyone in and around the building. if you drive by a cop or stop at an intersection you're probably on camera. that's just kind of how it is.
i was thinking the other day how wild it is that there was a time when cellphones didn't exist so you couldn't just call the cops anywhere. you'd have to like run over to a building or a phone booth to do it. i think that's only going to continue in that trend, where eventually there will be AI in all these cameras and shit that will be able to notify the cops a crime is taking place before anybody is even able to grab their phone.
i think if i saw what i knew was a cop bot following a dude i'd gtfo xD not because of the robot but because of the dude it is following around lol.
@beardalaxy@gameliberty.club yeah the best it can do is like, snitch on them
what about other peoples' privacy though? some killer walks into a mcdonalds with his copbot filming him and all the staff and everyone knocking back their big macs and everyone's supposed to just be ok with that?
what about when someone finds a jailbreak and hacks it to help them commit more crimes
the idea is just nonsensical
