"I can't play minecraft cuz it keeps crashing and there's a ton of graphical glitches and when none of this is happening my character randomly dies for no reason"

Bedrock issue
@Kyonko802 This shit is even better to think about when you remember Bedrock's entire premise is that it's supposed to run better than Java because it isn't trying to use Java for something Java was never meant for.

Maybe it has to do with the fact that instead of focusing that premise they've instead injected infinite ways to spend money on micro-transactions. :cirno_heh:
@Iffine a bunch of people recently got together and made bedrock work on linux and my only thought is "why"
@Kyonko802 Probably for the only reason anyone ever bothers with bedrock, crossplay with consoles/mobile. For as bad as Minecraft bedrock is, it has exactly one positive in that it is pretty much the only crossplay game that isn't a live service free-to-play microtransaction nightmare (well, it does have microtransactions but not to the level of those kinds of games) with a battle royale focus.

@Iffine @Kyonko802 i used to play it over java just because of the render distance + performance, but with sodium/iris and distant horizons that's a moot point.

@beardalaxy @Iffine Yeah I haven't had any issues going up to 20ish chunks on java even with a shader
