yo dudes, anyone know how i can force PC games to use a stretched 4:3 aspect ratio? don't ask why i just need to know how to do it lol.

@beardalaxy What if you change the screen resolution to one with a 4:3 ratio?

@mikuphile my adapter squishes it down because it expects everything is 16:9 :P

@beardalaxy It even squishes a 4:3 signal into a 1:1 image? I can only suggest getting another adapter. Besides, if it's transforming the image, it's probably buffering the image (increased latency). This autismo has a guide for CRT TVs, basically you need a VGA output and an adapter that converts VGA into component. He uses an old GPU to get a VGA output but this is a meme, you can simply get a displayport to VGA adapter and these typically don't buffer the image.

@mikuphile it seems to have just fine latency, I've played F-zero GX with it. It probably has some but like, not any more than my normal flat panel. I'm gonna be playing ff9 anyway so I don't need anything crazy lol.

@mikuphile if I can't find another solution though I might do the dp to vga thing
