spotube is ass. I'll stick to spotify premium until they actually increase the price again and then... go to jpopsuki and spend a week of clicking a billion torrent links until I have my local stuff updated again. I actually dread doing this.

@teto I pay for deezer and use murglar to download all my music to local storage. Stuff I can't find on there I either use khinsider for or other spots if I have to. If it really isn't anywhere else I'll use ytdlp.

@beardalaxy what I actually need right now is software that automatically downloads new music of artists I follow on jpopsuki
@beardalaxy but jpopsuki doesnt even have everything. It's all so tiring. Spotify was the solution to not spend 3 hours every week "downloading new music". It just downloads everything I like automatically. So I have it on my phone without autismwork.

@teto music services like that are super convenient, but what wasn't very convenient was losing my library and getting it all shuffled around when licenses ran out. it's hella worth it for me to click like on deezer, click download on murglar, and then use freefilesync to pop it over to my phone. just a few clicks after getting it set up, not bad at all.

idk if they'll have all the music you're looking for necessarily, but you know.

@beardalaxy I can use whatever makes japs think "I need to be on there". Before spotify became popular in japan, it was a completely useless platform to me. Everyone was still buying CDs or using apple music back in 2017 there.

@teto yeah on deezer these days there are tons of like, vocaloid artists and japanese musicians. but you're right way back spotify didn't even have any of that. it was utada hikaru and like nobody else lol.

not a paid shill or anything but maybe just search around on deezer and see if you can't find what you're looking for. i get 99% of what i need on there so i'm pretty satisfied, but i also don't listen to lesser known japanese bands.
