@beardalaxy well important to member that there's a misconception that perfume is ladies and cologne is mens. it actually has to do with the concentration and how long the scent will last. so it goes, Parfum > Eau De Parfum > Eau De Toilette > Eau De Cologne > Eau Fraiche.
Generally speaking Parfum is 8-6 hours, EDP is 5-7, EDT is 4-6, EDC is 2-4, and EF is generally 1-2.
Edit I'm wrong on the times apparently but I have found that some EDT's like CK's Truth last well beyond 3-4 hours.

@beardalaxy Well 4 scents you will not go wrong with, although some are discontinued you can still get them, would be CK's Truth and Euphoria for men, Altitude by Swiss Army, and Dirty English by Juicy Couture.
@beardalaxy Euphoria I have found to smell a bit foofy when first applied but relaxes after 20-30 minutes. Have gotten more compliments on it by women than any other scent by far.
