funny that windows 11 is the breaking point for everyone, as if windows 10 didn't ship with added telemetry, cortana and ads in the start menu.

@RustyCrab @yomiel you can turn all that off in win 11 and most of the broken stuff people keep talking about have been in beta insider builds that are fixed before they make it to release. It's really funny to me that people are more willing to trudge through the trenches in Linux than just doing some simple tweaks in win 11 lol.

You click shutdown but it doesn't shut down. It just kicks you back to the login screen. Restarting works and so does a shutdown command from Linux.
I always carried a Linux usb with me when doing hardware repairs especially complicated ones like webcam swaps because I wanted to test if it was windows. In many cases it was windows 10/11 being shit.

Personally speaking, I like Linux a lot but it has a bit too much friction for me. I *can* use it but I usually won't unless it is going to be the path of least resistance. Or if I'm bored and just want to fuck around with something for a bit.
@beardalaxy @RustyCrab @yomiel I never hated Windows as much as I did having to use it in the wagie setting and dealing with how wagie PCs are loaded up with shitware like normies installing toolbars back in the day.
