@beardalaxy @mitchconner not really since the issue with the US system is We use private insurance regulations as a werid way to price fix healthcare while not actually regulating healthcare companies so they make everything cost one bajillion dollars and then insurance companies are legally obligated to cover 90% of that. You basically have to scrap the existing insurance system and break up the existing healthcare monopolies if you wanted to do a free market thing on a level playing field.

Or if you want to keep the current insurance start regulating the healthcare industry so they can’t charge $1000 for one aspirin which the government then needs to pay out $970 to it for insurance.
