the left and right mouse buttons feel so insanely chonky now, the actuation force is a little high haha. gonna' have to get used to that but it seems all good again! the replacement skates are also a bit stiff but i'm sure that they will wear down a bit over time.

@beardalaxy@gameliberty.club I swapped the buttons in my mouse a few years back and it was like going from a rubber dome keyboard to mechanical, so good
kinda half wish my current mouse would die so I'd have a reason to do it again

@rosey for me it isn't quite that drastic haha, the original switches felt really good but they were just shit quality so they broke fast. i didn't want to solder any new ones on so i've just kind of been dealing with it or using an old mouse when i don't need as many buttons. it broke all the way back in like, 2021 lol. someone just recently started making replacement boards with replacement switches already on them so i just picked up one of those, only like $15. totally worth it.

disassembling this was a bitch and a half though i hope i don't have to do it again for a while. God willing, the next time will be when the rubber finally wears down too much and i have to buy a replacement shell, which people do sell also and apparently they're pretty nice to have.

this mouse is just too good for me ergonomically, i love the hell out of it despite its flaws.

@beardalaxy@gameliberty.club yeah logitech love their shit switches
i'm on my 5th or 6th g502, i don't even remember how many it's been. one of them lasted half a year before the left click died, one lasted about an hour
thankfully my current one's been going strong for 5 years or so
