@teto gen 3 is the only gen i've played tbh, i loved the absolute fuck out of emerald. hundreds of hours put into that game. i played a lot of colosseum too but i don't think i'd ever wanna go back and play that one lol.

the secret base thing in emerald was so fucking cool man, i'm surprised they've never done anything like that again. i remember playing against one of my friends and then going into the world to see so many secret bases out there, just from a long chain of people who had connected with each other. knowing that those were made by real people was awesome.

@beardalaxy gen 3 was certainly a peak in the franchise. Certainly for late millenials cuz we grew up with it. I played gen 4 too but it was just kinda meh. Tried gen 5 last year and also meh. Prob related to the designs. Millenials back then always shit on gen 4 and 5 for the pokemon designs and they were kinda right. I cant really get immersed when the ice pokemon is a literal ice cone.

@teto the only other pokemon game i've had any interest in has been sun/moon. saw vinny play a good chunk of one of them.

@beardalaxy pokemon is at its best when it's european or japanese or both. Sun/Moon do the whole tropical islands thing and I couldnt care less
